Anschutz Anschutz 335 Safety

This is currently for sale however it seems to have a button that appears to be a safety ( very late serial number )

Is anyone aware if the last iterations of the 355 had a safety fitted ????? Seems odd as I have never seen it before

Thanks

That looks like the Anschutz 35 Magnum. I have the same rifle, accurate, light, handy. The trigger takes some fine tuning to get just right. There is some info on internet about this rifle. It’s related to the 335, 333.
Mine shoots about 620 fps FTT, 8.64.
Thanks Just that I've never seen one with safety button Curious if anyone knew more

Might be something they place under to stabalize it for the photo.

Evidently late versions of the 335 did add a safety, as shown in this diagram on Danny Garvin's 'AirGunGallery':

I also have never seen one with the safety but recall a discussion of this years ago on one of the Forums.
