Another one succumbs to the .177 bottle build -

Need to get another Tom West stock for this little carbine, but other than that, no complaints.

Of the pellets I have on hand, it prefers H&N FT 8.64 gr

Shooting them in the low 900's for close to 17 fpe - does the trick -

From not quite 40 yards -

Maybe Mountainair Custom Airguns?

I have one of the QB 78S that you posted the bargain link on, got it this time last year in fact. Bought a bottle adapter from Archer Airguns, but it won't work lol!, wrong dimensions/spacing, not sure of what version of the QB the adapter was made to work with - would you have an idea?

Nice shot!

I cobbled together a similar build a few years ago. Started with a 2240 pistol and converted it to .177. Used a QB tank block, added a telescoping buttstock so the kids can use it too. Pretty satisfying build.

O’doyle, a Gauntlet tank block is the best buy for QB78 conversions but Umarex has been out of stock for a while.

Archer wants $37 for the QB79 version which is absurd, plus the location of the retention screws is not as good in terms of safety margin.
