Another newbie with a question

Hello lancehenley1,

I almost went in that direction. That FX Impact is ONE SWEET UNIT. Good job!

I just ordered the new .22" Brocock Bantam Sniper XR with an Aztec Emerald 5.5-25x50 FFP scope.

In the final analysis, I had to have a Bullpup. And that Brocock just jumped out at me from nowhere.

It will be awhile before I'm up and running .. a lot of stuff to buy .. but, I'm done struggling with what will be my main platform.

I'm probably dreaming a bit, but I can see me with an FX Impact .35" one day shooting slugs out to 250 yds with dime sized spreads.

Haha.

Hey I’ve been contemplating getting a PCP for a long time. How’s it going with the Brocock Bantam Sniper XR?

Hello RoaringWren,

I haven't been able to shoot it outside yet. COVID-19 has pretty much shut down our municipality and I need them open to get my shooting license here in CT. Frustrating. I'm in the process of setting up a range in my basement though.

The Brocock is however a very beautiful gun though, Feels absolutely rock solid and high quality. And I'd consider the laminate version, as it's too sweet a rifle not to go all out, even if you have to wait a little and save up that extra $200. I'll let you know how it goes when I get up and running, unless of course you beat me to it. Haha.

Hi Mahajrodney,

What a great question!

I'm new here as well and pretty close in age, as we have been considering the FX/DonnyFL combo. Similar shooting situation as well. Thanks so much for putting the question out there and it's great that people are willing to offer help/suggestions. I was originally going to "cheap out" with a (forgive the nube lack of proper terms) break barrel. But I got concerned when I started reading about the noise and more importantly the potential damage to an expensive scope. Do it right the first time is the best way!
