Another Newb Intro

Hey Folks. Great forum you have. Been reading for a few weeks.

I'm a 60YO retired dude, shoot powder burners. Was watching some misc. YT feed a while back and one of Matts videos popped up. I was intrigued. Starting searching for and watching more like videos. Found this site, AoA, Pyramyd Air and others. Started looking at all the different brands and styles.

My gosh, I had no idea air rifles had come so far! I think I may have a new bug and an itch to scratch. lol

I'm really liking the FX Streamline, probably in a .25. Gonna give it some more thought and keep reading the forum.

Exhale, squeeze..............shoot straight.

Welcome to the dark side Trailryder42. Start hiding money.... First things first FIND AIR!!! a tank, a pump, a compressor and the hook up fill valve assembly before you go any further . Now get your gun. Lots of info on the Air Tanks, Pumps, & Compressors section... Enjoy and watch your powder burners recede into the dark bowels of the safe. You will start learning so much you can't stop.

Welcome Trailryder42, like socaloldman said find if you can get a 4500 psi carbon fiber tanked filled in your area. I like the quality of tanks and accessories you can buy from airtanksforsale.com Then you can look at the sponsers list here for your other needs like pellets a chrongraph and other items. I think your choice of the FX Streamline is an excellent for a high quality air rifle with many features and exceptional value for the money. Your choice for .25 cal is good if you intend to do small game hunting otherwise for plinking and target shooting a .22 cal. would be more economical. By the way the initial investment into pcp rifles my seem high but the cost of pellets compared to rimfire or centerfire rounds in particular is so much less. Also the ability to shoot in more places more often is a big plus. Bill
