Anatomy of a well placed body shot.

Nice shot. I like to do autopsies to see the effectiveness of placement and pellet. My experience is Hades are accurate even pushed close to 1000 fps, but their expansion is barely better than diablo's.

As I noted before, it’s about 50/50 for me on Hades expansion. I don’t do a whole lot of pesting or hunting, so I don’t have significant data. But, of the critters I have gotten and examined, results have been mixed.

I suppose more detailed experimentation could shed light on this, but then, not sure how useful that would be in real life. I’m happy enough with them. They are more consistent in most of my guns than Polymags, and have a better potential of expansion than regular domed Diabolos. See pic below from a front facing head shot.

Got this one as it was trying to make a stealthy assault on my Pear tree. Prior to this one, I have taken 2 head shots that have connected, but they have been able to run off. This one was DRT, no seizures, just instant lights out. This shot was taken at 28 yards with the Cricket Mini in .22 using Hades. Complete pass through.

Didn’t take internal pics, it was a straight up lung shot. Check out the exit hole under the fur though.
