I grabbed my R1 Laser .20 To shoot it at 100 yards for groups. I shot it at 50 yards first. It shot a quarter size group. I stopped after four shots, And moved on to 100 yards. I turned 40 clicks on the scope.
I shot probably 20 shots at 100 yds trying to figure out where it was hitting. I could not hit the 2’ x 3’ piece of new paper. This makes no sense, as I figured it should drop about a foot or so. The wind was blowing really hard left to right.
So I went back and put out two other new sheets of paper. To cover any amount of drop...I thought. Below are the results. Plus the final five shot group. Winds are blowing left to right 10+ miles an hour.
This result caused all kinds of questions in my mind. I’m not going to throw them all out right now. But I found the end result extremely interesting.
I Started out shooting sighters by holding on the very upper left-hand corner of the new sheet of cardboard, top sheet. Once I had it On paper (3 feet low). I lowered my point of aim, which I marked with a star. So my point of aim moved down about 4 inches, and right about 4 inches (see pic).
I would love to hear your thoughts on the result.
