An example of those finicky, unmanageable, hold sensitive magnum springers...

Typical 30 yd 10 shot group from my Rested (Just forward of the trigger guard/balance point) Beeman RX-2 Shooting JSB .20 13.73's. M.O.S.H. (Minute Of Squirrel Head) accuracy.

Almost every springer i've shot prefers to be rested in same spot, just ahead of trigger-guard. The difference between a forward rest and this rest can be HUUUGE. Nice group, btw.

MScottLeeman,

When I got my first REAL airgun 30 years or so ago, the articles that I read about the RX-2 seemed to indicate that it was one of the most difficult of all the springers to shoot accurately. Is this correct? Or am I confusing the RX-2 with a different gun?

If my memory is correct, then that's one damn fine group. I'd have to be really on my game to match it with my Beeman R-7 at 30 yards. I'm impressed!

Thanks Guys! I've had this rifle since 2006 and had to send it to David Slade about 2 yrs ago for a rebuild and he did some trigger work while he had it. I can service it myself now that I have a hp pump. Its shooting right about 19 ft. lbs and has always been (for me) accurate and easy to shoot. All I'm doing is shooting it off an old rolled up pair of sweat pants set right in font of the trigger guard where it's balanced. I must have received a good barrel or something because this thing shoots as well or Sometimes better than my Diana 54 .22! Probably doesn't hurt that I practice a lot,either...I guess. I'm as shocked as anyone else! Btw,I Know that it's truly 30yds because since I dont have a rangefinder, I used a 100' tape...the type on a reel.
