I don't see the point, usually a reg tester will test a reg on a gun without a dedicated gauge showing what the reg is doing.
The gun is the reg tester, not trying to sound negative or dickish.

He is probably worried and doesn't trust his onboard manometers that has been known be off (not only FX any brand guns).
If you have a lathe you can make one yourself with 2 piece screwed together that the regulators screw in with a reliable gauge on the regulated output side and a male foster on the input side to connect to your fill hose.
Tattle tale by using it as a deadhead with gauge at the end of your tank hose and open your tank valve to compare pressure readings first.

But on the Amp regs aren't they pretty well dismantled when you pull it out of the housing and then when you go back together you have to start with it basically in the closed position? In other words I think it would be hard to preset one outside the gun and then just slide it back in even with some sort of machined housing.
I think you'd be better off just getting a known good analog or better yet a nice digital gauge like the new Sekhmet and using it full time as your regulator tester. This would show you in real time from shot to shot how your regulator is performing.

Another option is a test gauge for setting the regulator. You would remove the FX gauge then put in the test gauge. Once you setup the regulator you remove the test gauge and reinstall the FX gauge. The issue is you have to bleed the rifle to attach the test gauge and again when you remove the test gauge and replace the FX gauge. Also, you run the risk of damaging the o-rings. The up-side is you know the in-gun regulator is setup accurately.

im using the first gauge from huma in my dreamline and its working fine.
the small original gauge in my dreamline is acurate too!
im sure you dont have to degas the bottle versions because you can just remove the bottle? isnt there a valve build in ?

I have the big yellow Huma digital only to double check the other 5-6 liquid filled gauges also to surprise you all - no matter FX or Huma or Wika analogs or the Edgun digital, no two shows the same numbers. Finally I just gave up paying attention
