Well rebuilding M3 amp regs for a friend and swapping out to the power block was able to pop out the derlin and turned down some peek and put it in the end using a small hammer still have to finish it with 1500 grit wet dry yet

That's a nice upgrade worth doing for those with the tools and skills. For what it's worth, I like to carry the finish out to at least 3000 grit unless the orifice cone is fairly sharp, otherwise it will take somewhere between a long time and forever to break in and stop creeping.

I don't know what you want a drawing of I just used a dental pick to pop out the derlin on the rear of the reg piston turned some peek I had down to just over the size of the hole and pounded it in with a small hammer and started sanding it down I left it way long so i could tap it into place

I have been making such pistons even before FX started making brass pistons. I have also sent a few to various countries.

mubaur has been making them I just used the fx one by popping out the derlin So far I took them back apart since I got tipped to hit them with 3000 grit they were just sanded with 1500 grit and where holding air I didn't test them for creep before that I went to my local hardware store this morning and they only had 2500 grit nothing finer than that so I resanded them with that today and been watching them for about an hour and don't seem to be creeping but can't tell real well with analog gauge hopefully there good now

Awesome! So long as you can distinguish a potential change in the ballpark of 5 bar or so on the gauge, it's not creeping for all intents and purposes.

It's just that I don't machine myself. I am not a machinist I admit. For that reason all my modified parts are designed by me and machined by my machinist.
