The Site in Connecticut were gozav71(Leo) and I hold traditional field target matches has not only the 100yd needed for target placement but the room behind for misses. We are also considering holding Speed Silhouette, and EBR style 75/100yd bench rest matches.
Here's the rub. Leo and I are already invested in traditional FT and have neither the money or time to hold both types of event on a regular basis. I've interacted on this and others forums, and listened enough to know there is interest in the East, and North East for the higher power games.
To supply targets for the AFT game a gofundme or similar fund raising website will be set up and donations will be taken IF there is enough interest shown. If enough money can be raised to purchase 10 targets to start with(2 target per lane, 5 lanes) we will go ahead with the shoot. If we do not reach our goal the money will be refunded. Oh, the targets for such higher energy guns will be bought from steelplinkers.com and are $86 each.
This and the other ideas for getting you high power/larger calibers guys a place to shoot and meet is the overriding factor in all of this. It will be up to those interested to donate funds/time to get things moving while Leo and I provide the site and connection with the land owner.
The ideas/plans here are a the very beginning stages which is why I would like to include any interested now before things are set in stone, or dropped all together.
