Amazon SCBA adapter for refill

I picked up a Scott 45m 4500 PSI SCBA tank from a local fire department. It is currently certified but expiring in the next month or so.

I'm looking for an adapter to convert it so I can fill my PCP Kalibur Cricket gun. I have a cheapie compressor. Does anyone know if the Amazon Fill Station Kit, PCP SCBA Fill Station Refill with 60cm Microbore Hose 0-4500PSI Charging Connector Adapter Air Rifle kit any good? I don't want this exploding in my face. Not many options and this a long with other options from eBay all look the same..

I use this. Probably not best option. They do have a Filling Station, but I didn't have that money at the time.
One thing is certain though, you don't have to wonder about Air Tanks Plus products quality or safety.
I removed the internal one-way valve so can fill tank, and fill gun from tank. When filling gun, I just gently, barely open tank valve (not abruptly) and slow fill watching gun's gauge.

Im sure that valve is fine. I would have no worries. That will do the job.
Or you can take the scba valve off completely and replace it with one of these that thread directly onto the tank

I have both, the saber tactical valve is very nice, probably the nicest valve out there, but expensive.
The 3rd option is aliexpress but I haven't ordered anything from there in a long time.

Take your time with a small compressor, 1500 psi at a time when you are trying to fill an empty tank from zero- 4500psi . Some small compressors won't refill large tanks. They aren't strong enough

I have one of the Stikman units from Airtanks Plus and also have another scba fill station I purchased from an AGN member here who used to build and sell them in the classifieds - both of are high quality and I think give me a little more peace of mind when filling.

The Amazon unit on this Scott was garbage. I had to replace the bottle end of the station with legit parts to make it not leak, as well as the guage..

I appreciate the feedback. By looking at the parts in the pics I suspect the same I wonder how accurate that gauge is going to be and if it's going to leak.. I have a cheap china Yong Heng compressor and very familiar with leaks. It doesn't look like are many options. It's either cheap at under $50 or really expensive around $300.

I have the 5/8" version of the Amazon fill station on a 3 liter Tuxing tank. It works fine and has the added bonus of a separate fill fitting. This fitting allows "cascading" another tank.

I think its worth a try to buy the $40 valve from Amazon. If it leaks you send it back, no problem.

Honestly, I don't think valves, air lines, or fittings are a wise place to try hard to save money - spend what it takes to get decent equipment from a place you know you can trust. You want something that will last and not fail on you in a few short years.

My first choice for fittings and lines is Best Fittings in the UK - sure they cost a bit more and we have to wait on shipping, but everything from there is first rate and can be trusted to last for the long haul. Air Tanks Plus (makers of Stikman) is another great source and is US based. Joe Brancato sells good stuff too at a high price, but I'll admit to not being a fan of some of what he says and does relative to trying panic folks into buying his stuff.

The Saber Tactical valve is well made, but the QC going out the door is suspect - I have one and like it, but I had to fix three separate leaks on it to get it to work right (fortunately I tested out on 500cc tank before wasting fills on the 9L tanks it was installed in after testing). Airgun Archery Fun in Canada is a good source too (https://airgunarcheryfun.ca/).

I absolutely won't go the Aliexpress /Alibaba route for this stuff, and I don't trust most of the sellers on Amazon either for these items - too much variation in many of the Chinese sourced foster components, among other issues . . . .

I just got the Tuxing CGA347 fill adapter yesterday from Amazon. Had to remove the hard nylon o-ring at end of probe (goes inside tank valve threads) with TWO rubber o-rings to get it to seal. Tuxing made that probe a mm or two too long to seal easily & correctly but I got it to work. I've had better luck with ebay fill adapters in the past but I no longer see the "Hand Tightening" models. Only the ones with a hex nut for tightening.
Here's the one I got

The pic of the middle tank. Looks like you have the $40 Amazon on it. Is that the one that was leaking.
Yes, 2 of my friends have the exact same setup and the tip seal leaks on in all them. All of us had to replace the gauges on day 1 because they were blasting glycerine out on the first fill. You have to really rock it around and tighten it to prevent a leak. I made friends with a former hpa business owner and he gave me a new legitimate stainless setup and I just stuck a paintball guage on the fill station because I don't need a guage.

My Scott 45 minute SCBA tank:
Tank thread CGA347 (if same as Scott) ¾-16. Valve outlet for CGA347 probe and nut 7/8-14 TPI.

I bought mine in 2021 and Amazon no longer has the link. It was like this: https://www.amazon.ca/SS-CGA347-Sta...arging+adapter+with+hand+tight,aps,138&sr=8-3

I had an initial leak issue but worked out the solution and used the setup for 1+ years.

Hopefully, that is of some use.

I ordered one from AliExpress which worked well but no longer have the listing. IIRC the "CGA347 connector" is the important factor.
