Am I the only one who hates flip up caps? Anybody using scope covers?

I don't know why, just hate flip up scope caps. Probably have 10 pairs that I should just throw out since all they are doing is taking up space in my gun stuff storage areas. Today just saw some of those neoprene scope covers that look like better overall protection when storing or transporting. Anybody know of a good budget source for them? I'd like to pick up a few for my nicer scopes. I do keep a few airguns in my garage for those spontaneous shooting sessions and these elastic covers look like they would help keep the dust off the scope too.

I actually like mine over the bikini covers because they’re always on the scope. So my lenses stay protected when not in use, but I have fast access for shots in the field.

I like the bikini caps because I can hunt in light rain and they keep the lens clean and dry. I also use them when hunting in thick vegetation to protect the scope glass.

I remove the plastic lens and replace them with glass. Much clearer and they don't scratch.

Guess I am lucky no A.D.D. for this thing. ;^) I have no preference and use whatever came on the scope. Although covers keep the dust off of the scope all of the time. Flip up caps keep the lens clean and are convenient for the quick shot.

this is something that falls in the category, to each his own, everyone will have an opinion 

i have used many different styles and if they fit and work, i don't care 

make sure you look down that page for ideas

I used to complain about caps until I tried Vortex caps,,they lay flat on the scope when open,not sticking out like a sore thumb,, snag and bump everything

but when shooting on a bench,,it just doesn't matter to me

That might not be all bad. Plus it camos the scope. I generally prefer flip up caps, but think I will buy one of these and try it out. Low cost. Thanks for posting.
