I recently purchased an Altaros tube setup for my AA S200 (regulator, quick fill w/ manometer, and lightweight tube). I think the set is a great improvement from the original air tube design. One issue I have though is the quick fill has an open port, which isn’t a problem for shooting at home, but I’m wary of bringing the rifle out in the field. I do not want to get any dirt or dust in the port when going through the woods, although the manufacturer has said that it’s unlikely any dust will get in the tube since there is a screw and oring within the system to prevent this from occurring.
I was wondering whether anyone has found a Delrin dust plug that will fit this system. I purchased FX, Webley, and Logan dust plugs; but none of these fit (too large of a diameter). I’d prefer not to have to make my own, but it appears that might be my only option currently. For reference the Altaros quickfill probe is .2365” (5.98mm) in diameter and .8375” (21.42mm) in length, and can be inserted in both sides of the quickfill port.
Any help would be appreciated, whether it be plug options, or tips to making my own. Thanks.
