Daystate Alpha Wolf Performance vs regular Alpha Wolf

How was the scout compared to this DW?
I would say equal in performance and accuracy. The epoch is a tank though and just not conducive to hunting. The auto tune feature is super nice on the DW but custom tuning is easier and more straight forward on the Skout.

I should add this is relating to shooting pellets. I don’t shoot slugs. I think the Skout platform is probably a much better avenue for that. More barrel options and I think a bit more power capable

I don't have hard data any longer, nor do I even have my Alpha Wolf for well over a year. But I did have my Alpha for about a year before the Ultra Valve came out, so I was very familiar with the performance. No when the Ultra Valve came out is was required to upgrade to software 1.37 (iirc) in order for the programs to make the best use of it.

I did the Ultra Valve upgrade and the firmware update and without changing any of the advance program settings my rifle was shooting faster with all other things, including reg, being equal. I don't have any firm numbers - just enough to say ther was an increase and I had to go back and re-do all my advanced programs to lower the speeds.
Grateful to read your post. A couple of questions:
1. Is there any compelling reason to upgrade if one does not need additional power? It seems that .22 at 60 ft/lbs is already plenty of power. Other than greater power, does it increase accuracy or something else?
2. What did it cost to upgrade?
3. Was it something you did or did you have to send it in?

Thanks.

Yeah I ended up figuring that out. Even though it’s in red and seems like it won’t let you it will take it and over write it. A+. They still really need to put an off switch on it. Astonishes me I think I’m the only one to complain about that in the history of this platform…lol. I guess maybe because I had a Skout first and it had an off button 🤷‍♂️
Makes me wonder how it would work to splice a switch in the battery wire. Would just need to figure out where to mount the switch.
