Daystate Alpha Wolf magazine question

I purchased the latest model used Daystate Alpha Wolf that came with one magazine. I just purchased an additional Daystate magazine that seems to work differently.

The magazine that came with the rifle allows me to cock it using the side lever after the magazine is empty and then fire it. The new one locks up the side lever half way after the magazine is empty which is preferable.

Anyone know why the magazines are functioning differently?

If you look at them when they are empty the one that keeps the bolt open is machined so that a bit of the hole the last pellet goes in sits offset so the chamber doesn't line up 100% and the probe catches the edge. Not sure if I explained it properly, but you should be able to see the difference between the two.

one of them is designed to prevent double feeding a pellet... not sure if you have one old and one new model.
