got one great compressor came from a junk omega has 180 hours on it rebuilt it at 178 hours just because i thought it was time. fills slow which saves the unit as heat is what kills them

I have one and use it to fill/top off my 74 tank. Be sure there are no air bubbles in the antifreeze line and I use Royal Purple compressor oil. I only have a couple of hours on it and so far so good. When I bought it there was 5 hours on it and I changed the oil. The oil drain is the sight glass.

I've had good luck with mine so far, have a PMV valve and Joe bs filter it chugs along slowly filling without much heat untill it reaches 4200psi then it starts to build heat from there up. I run a floor fan in addition over the cylinders and only gets to hot to the cylinders to hold my hand on that last 300psi, I dump the pressure leaving it running till it cools down, then top off.
I don't just shut it down then I dump bleed the pressure while it's running for ten minutes as this clears any moisture from the cylinders.
I broke mine in with no pressure and changing the oil at around 30 mins then one hour, and repeated using Bauer synthetic oil...I bought a gallon to have plenty plus was much cheaper.
