Alpha 6 turrets stuck?

Hey guys, 

I just got an Alpha 6 2.5-15 and it's awesome. Super clear. But I noticed I'm not able to turn the elevation or windage turrets at all.... at first I thought they were just stiff, but I put all my weight into it and can't get it to budge. 

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? If it matters, the turret caps are the kind that need a coin to unscrew.

That’s pretty funny. There’s been a lot of peculiar posts and weird responses lately on AGN. Some of them I can’t tell if they’re spammers, trolls or what? I didn’t know if you were playing or messing around or what. We’ve all had our own brain farts at one time or another. Glad you got it figured out! LOL

I knew the turrets were locking, but today I had to sight in a new air rifle and it didn't seem the POI was changing when I adjusted the turrets, then all of a sudden the adjustments did respond but too much as I kept turning them without movement. Now I admit I was outside, it was bitter cold, I was lying prone on snow and somewhat irritable. Has anyone had "sticking or sticky" issues with the Alpha 6 or is this somehow likely operator error?

Did you lap your rings? Possibly squashed scope tube perhaps loosen and/or reposition the rings further away from the turrets.

You can also try what many do AFTER THE FACT and overcompensate the clicks.
