Went out to shoot the Diana this morning. Shot four times, went to chock it, did not lock in. The butt kicked me in the nuts. Back to AOA. I've shot over 4000 pellets threw it.
My 48did the same thing at about the same number of shots. I took it apart and the stem had came out of the piston. It was still under warranty so I called Umarex, all they needed was a copy of the sales reciept. They sent me a new pistons no questions asked.
TOOK IT BACK TO AOA, ANOTHER 120 MILE ROUND TRIP., WEEK TO 10 DAYS. I GUESS I'LL JUST HAVE TO WATCH THE SQUIRRELS DIG HOLES. I WAS DOING SOME CALCULATING ON MY BRETTA 3901 AUTO, HOW MANY SHOT SHELLS I'VE SHOT THREW IT. AROUND 30,000 WITH NO PROBLEMS.
Man Dave, that is not good. I had heard of piston guns knocking people in the mouth if they did not keep a hand on the barrel when loading - but a kick in the jimmy is just not gonna be tolerated.
I SIT ON MY SHOOTING BENCH AND PLACE THE BUTT ON MY LEG WHEN I COCK IT. WHEN IT DID NOT LATCH, AND I TOOK PRESSURE OFF BARREL THE BUTT HIT ME IN THE NUT.
