Almost forgot how to shoot my FX Crown

What islands? Tell us more, please.
Hello @rsfrid

That is the BVI ( British Virgin Islands ) all three photos were taken in different areas. Photo #1 is what I called my home base, located in the Atlantic side of Tartola and totally uninhabited back in those days. Photo #2 was on a trip from Jost Van Dyke to the Island of Anegada in the Atlantic. The 3rd photo is a bay in Virgin Gorda, a lady friend and I had snorkled from her boat to that shore line. She took that photo because she claimed that there was a Sea Creature there ( look at the left lower portion ) , you have to look close, there is a clump of trees that is a bit taller than the others. Follow a line down from the trees and there is a rock out cropping facing to the right of this photo. There is a Head, Brow, Nose/Snoot and Mouth combination, down to a Chest, and Arm. Actually once you make out what I am describing, it does look like a Sea Creature, sort-of.
Well she said it was and who am I to question a beautiful lady, oh not me bud. Actually in the middle lower of that photo is also a (this time it is real ) Sea Turtle on the bottom. Boy that used to be Paradise until the tourist found out about that area, then it went ....well... not paradise.

Oh I forgot to say that in #2 photo if you look real hard to the port of the bow right on the waterline is the first sighting of land, that of course is Anegada Island. I have made an untold number of open water crossings but it always made the hair stand up when you have first sighting of land.

Beautiful. What wonderful memories. My only experience in the islands is St Lucia. My wife and I spent a week there with a young fellow who was working for me at the time who was from there. We went there during Jazz Festival.

Oh you guys are just mean!! Those pictures of warm water, blue skies and sun are so inviting…and so very far away lol!
I'm right there with you. If I don't have good lighting it's a chore to get those 177 pellets loaded and facing the right direction :ROFLMAO:

I have fat mechanic hands and my vision is finally starting to slip. I got lucky, everyone in my family needs contacts or glasses since they were young, I had 20/20 for the longest time. Just close up small stuff is getting a little fuzzy!
😂Fat mechanic hands and slipping vision!!
That’s just too funny.
I have hands that look like gorilla’s feet except more wrinkled, and vision that fades in and out of focus lol!
Man, we would be real contenders at a match!!

You're on Thomas! 50 yards indoors would be a hoot! I'm shooting with slippers on, but I have long cargo pants and fleece jacket indoors in basement. It's a steady 64 degrees in basement. 🥶
It would be so much fun to go south and shoot all winter!
Here’s my sandals for the moment!

Hello @davelarson

I can just see us at a match, dropping pellets on the ground but cannot bend over to pick them up, helping each other up from the bench, and most important a group decision which way to point the rifle 🤪 :p:D:ROFLMAO:

Let me tell you something Mr. Dave, it also hurts me to look at some of my old photos from when I was down in the Islands, those days have now passed me bye...I mean way bye .

Stay warm my friend,
ThomasT

Super nice shooting ThomasT! Looking just about perfect. I envy your weather, we are getting snow and cold here again.
Single loading .177 pellets is hard, especially the wad cutters! My left arm has nerve damage and it’s really hard to control something that tiny between two fingers! I shoot my 1701P from the recliner a lot, and I can tell you there’s a lot of dropped pellets down in the cushion lol!
