Huben All Things HUBEN GK1 (air pistol) - Master Thread

I have not shot any pellets. Is there a pellet that you have used with minimal jams.

@Louie4321 I don’t think you are understanding what I’m saying. I really suggest that you do some reading. There’s an ”Ammo Discussion“ section within this thread. It’s a good starting point.
@Louie4321 From what I gather from what various Huben owners post, the chamber sizes in the magazines vary from gun to gun. Read through some threads about ammo in Hubens and see what’s been discussed.

I was just asking for a pellet recommendation that you have heard of that people have been having good luck with. I couldn't find any info on the new V3 +. I almost wasn't going to reach out because of the pretensionous this site is known for. Ill go to Facebook
@Louie4321 Because you can’t have your way in this moment you choose to insult the entire community on this site. That’s says something about your mentality and character, as does your aversion to seeking out information for yourself. This thread was designed with a specific purpose in mind. It has been clearly stated and highlighted. “I’ll just go to FB“ sounds like a school-aged child asking to copy another child’s homework and being told, “just do it, it’s not hard“ and getting upset about it. As a result they insult the child and tell them “I’ll just go ask someone else,” as if that’s supposed to upset the one that declined to do their work for them.

Before you cop an attitude and leave pouting ask yourself, what have I contributed to this thread?

I believe that all pellets should work. My understanding is that the GK1 is designed for pellets originally and not slugs. The pellets have skirts that can flex to accommodate varying magazine chamber diameters. So my assumption is that all pellets should work.

IF you want to test, load a pellet, point the gun down, and see if the pellet slides down the chamber in the magazine. If not, you should be good.

Given that your chamber is actually SMALLER in diameter than your V3, I cannot imagine it jamming with any pellets. If I were ONLY going to shoot pellets, I would not mind a slightly smaller chamber like yours.

Also, regarding slugs, they make slugs in various diameters so you can purchase slightly smaller diameter to fit your V3+.

Hope this helps.

Ps: Curious: May I know why you purchased ANOTHER V3+ if you already have a V3?

In previous threads I have mentioned that the retention mechanism of the K1/Gk1 magazine is the small chamfer on the magazine's bores. Well that only works well when the pellet skirt diameter is larger than the head diameter, like the JSB pellets. I assumed all pellets are manufactured that way and that appears to be incorrect with some brands. So always check the pellet size before you buy a lot them. I normally shoot JSB pellets, but I ran out and my supplier was also out so I bought 2 tins of H&N and the skirt and the head are the same size and of course they bounced around in the magazine. So beware!
