Huben All Things HUBEN GK1 (air pistol) - Master Thread

Question. I would shoot strings of 10 and reload each time.

I just realized that for the .25, one can load 11 pellets WITHOUT any loading gate, and the frame will hold the pellets. This actually allows one to load FOUR pellets at a time before rotating the cylinder. The right side chambers will remain open, but if one has no pellets there, and up to 11 at a time inside the frame and on the left side of the magazine, this should function 100%. With the .22, I assume one can hold up to 12 pellets without the loading gate.

Am I missing something? Any reason this may be dangerous if one never exceeds 10 pellets per load?

Why not just buy the magnetic gate and u could still throw 4 pellets at a time and fill the whole mag…
do u have any idea how fast semi auto chews through the ammo!!!!
and I just got the hang of rapid fire
which i never experienced before
so yeah
fill that mag up buddy!!!

Do you think this will minimize jams?

So anyone else loading pellets and I use the ball end of my 3mm Allen key to push my pellets to the muzzle of the mag?
I get better accuracy.

Whoa!! Really? Better accuracy? May I know what range, what type of pellets, and how much difference in group size? This is VERY helpful info. Thank to both who commented.

I got gk1 in .177
and I have tested quite few suggest brands of pellets to see which ones seat super nice
and my conclusion is
jsb’s + h&n’s +norma ft gt
have very generous skirt which stops the pellet from slipping into the throat of my gk1

@Ultralight You may benefit by takinf some time reading through this thread, linked threads, and searching for applicable topics. There are some pretty detailed discussions on seating projectiles in Huben mags. What you‘ll likely find is that what works for one Huben may not work for yours. These mags are not all machined to the exact same tolerances.

Has anyone noticed the magazine diameter in the newest V3 + is smaller? I always used .254 slugs in my V3 that fit perfect. I got the new V3 + and I cant get the same .254 slug in the mag.
@Louie4321 From what I gather from what various Huben owners post, the chamber sizes in the magazines vary from gun to gun. Read through some threads about ammo in Hubens and see what’s been discussed.
