The shroud goes to the length of the barrel just shy of the threads which will allow you to thread right on to the barrel and shoulder on the shroud. so no cutting needed unless you shorten the barrel. However, you will need something to center the barrel in the shroud on that end if you are not using the factory moderator. I do agree the DFLs are the best in the industry!

It seems like the design is not a completely done deal and Benjamin is following the threads on the forums for input.
