Air Venturi All Air no Bang

Gents,

Filled my Avenge x to 300 bar according to the compressor. Felt the tank warm up during the process. However the reg and fill gauges on the gun both read zero? Thought both gauges must be wrong, but once I opened the bleed screw the tank spewed out air. So we have plenty of air, but gauges read zero and no bang once I cock the rifle and fire off a shot.

Sounds like your Regulator is closed. Try screwing it CCW, just a bit, Don't go wild. Cant expain the fill gauge, But, if you screw the reg CCW the reg gauge should show movement

Cheers, tried that. Still a no on gauge movement. It's as if the air does not pass from the tank to the valve and reg assembly.

degas. Disassemble. inspect or send back. That's just odd. Especially since the degas screw did work, And thats on the block. the reg is whats between that and the valve.

If the tank has proven it's got some air in it but no guages work I wonder how much corrosion is in that gun and if the guages are blocked, corroded shut etc. The reg is a good place to look but I fear we will see a reg creep thread after. No guage response is puzzling and makes me wonder how much water corrosion will be found in there.

I'd degas the gun and start doing an autopsy in segments. Easiest problems to hardest. Usually the answers are ez. "ain't got no gas in it"

Yip I'm baffled. Filled her up again, bleed screw hisses for about 5 minutes showing the tank was full. Zero on both gauges. No obvious obstruction.

Pop a guage out and look at the port in the 1/8 pipe end of it. If you have a spare foster screw it on and charge/bleed it. I've had Teflon tape scraps plug them

Try just de gassing just a bit to see if any air actually comes out. When you fill you may not actually be filling due to an obstruction. You can have the compressor bleed screw work but if the fill nipple is stuck closed no air will actually go into the rifle. That's where I would start.

No corrosion I could see, especially since it's less than a year old and I use an inline filter. I even swapped out gauges just to be sure.

No corrosion I could see, especially since it's less than a year old and I use an inline filter. I even swapped out gauges just to be sure.
I'd say if the vessel is holding some qty of air to bleed down, but the guages show nothing, pull the first guage and test it. I have never had a guage fail to zero, theyre always sprung and read high. I've probably burned up 2 dozen guages in my time with hpa too. Just had one this week on a fill station where the guage bourdon tube was leaking. Two guage failures simultaneously is nothing I've seen, id have that gun in pieces by now.
