Alkin W31 setup

I have a new setup I thought I would share. Thanks for the guidance and information from the members here on AGN

compressor with new cover and storage cylinder. inline regulator for running tethered consistent bars hands free no more opening and closing the bottle valve just open it to the desired pressure and shoot.

I see what you have done. I have the same or similar connection coming off the compressor and I use a quick connect female into my 74 CF tank. I also have a similar regulator/tethering device. Which I probably should use more often
What I don’t have is the large yellow tank which you are using as a intermediate tank between the compressor and your to the gun tank. Why do you have that? What advantage? Why not fill directly to your 74 or 90 cf tank. AND what type of tank is that.
There are countless ways to hook this stuff up. Just interested and always looking for a better way.

Thanks Knife!

The inline regulator keeps the gun at very consistent pressure. When recording data and tweaking the tune fill psi is one last thing to be concerned about in addition when filling the gun I can simply open the valve and adjust the inline reg to exactly 250bars with no concern of over pressurization of the gun. The storage cylinder is a 434cf 4500psi tank. I can top off the carbon tank without having to turn on the compressor. Works perfect for late night fills without the noise of the compressor. The storage cylinder also lets me fill up an empty tank a decent amount while the compressor is warming up and charging the filter then I close the valve on the storage cylinder and open the valve on the fill whip. When finished with filling the carbon tank I close the fill whip and open the valve on the storage tank to top that back off for next time. The whole process is very efficient especially with the auto on/off and drain feature it all takes much less time than filling the carbon tank from 150 to 310bars off the compressor directly. I highly recommend the reducing regulator it is a aqua environment #415 with 2 wika gauges one 0-6000psi and one 0-5000psi (higher resolution of the target fill psi of 250ish bar) with boots 2 1/4 to 1/8 adapters and 2 male quick connect fittings. Its about $350 with fittings for the reg well worth it imo.

I purchased the tank with the compressor $500 it was a great deal because freight was already factored in. 500-550 is around average for the tank however its the freight that hits hard its about an additional 150 to 175 for shipping

This is a good deal from a reputable company I spoke with them before I purchase the compressor from Alkin and added the current storage cylinder to my order thus avoiding freight cost. below is a link to the best deal I could find online. Local industrial gas suppliers are not interested in selling tanks they want to lease you there tank and have you on contract to fill them on a exchange program. You should be able to source one from a local compressor service and sales company. Its very common for fire departments to trade in complete cascade and compressor systems on a totally new set up they often get grants and have to spend it all or nothing so it all goes. Make some calls you may be surprised what you find locally.

The covers are custom made to order from double coated fabric comprised of a acrylic coated polyester heavy-duty marine grade material that is UV tare and milldue resistant. Avaliable in the gray you see in the pic along with dark blue similar to the blue of the logo on the compressor black and finally red.

Gray Blue Black Red

They have 4 plastic buckles with heavy duty nylon straps at all 4 lower corners to secure around the frame. A bottom to top heavy-duty double zipper to accommodate a attached hose or for easy access to compressor seams are double stitched.

All covers are custom made per order so some modifications can be made per application.

Let me know if you are interested

Thanks
