alkin w31 mariner vs omega / air venturi

The 31 is outstanding.

Sounds like you are only planning (naturally once you have air you may use more tho) on filling about as often as I do. For reliability and ease of rebuild ( a couple of o-ring's & 1 seal) the Altros Booster has been flawless for me for the last 4-1/2 years. Topped off the big tank today using the cheapest small feed compressor sold and it takes about 1hr for 700psi. So fast, no. $600 and dead on reliable yes!

Might be worth a glance.

I've probably spent $3000 to $5000 per year over the last 4 years for airguns but I just can't bring myself to spend $3500 to $3700 with tax and shipping for a compressor so I just bought an Omega Turbocharger off of the Classified section from one of our fellow AGN members. Due here tomorrow. I've been looking / thinking about a compressor since January. History: I actually won an Omega Supercharger from a contest on this forum 5 years ago. I put 260 hours on it over 4 1/2 years and had a few small problems and at the end it would randomly blow burst discs. Gave it away and bought a: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HKJ4SCP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It was great for 6 months but the last 5 have been a disaster! Presently waiting a response for parts to fix the high pressure piston. Broken rings. Only has 12 hours of use on it.

One of the reasons I bought the Turbocharger is U.S. Support. Todd the owner of Raptor Pneumatics is always available for advice / support and you can always ship it to him for a rebuild. The one thing I did not like with the Supercharger was it was very slow, I'm hoping the Turbo is 2 x's as fast. I usually fill an Omega 75 cubic ft. and a 19 cubic ft. once a week from around 3300 psi to 4500 psi. If I can get 260 hours out of the new one that should be 5-6 years. I'm 76 so who knows what will be happening then.

I don't care if it is old technology. For me it is the right step between a Yong Heng and an Alkin!
