Akela suppressor

I have an Akela. talked to DonnyFL He said that the KOI model would work well on it. Has anyone put a suppressor on theirs? If so, which one and how did it work. To be honest where I live I really don't need one but, Think it would be neat. This here is a big change for my neighbors going from a Remington 700 22-250 to the Akela ha

If Donny recommends all she needs is a Koi, then that's all you need. As long as you aren't planning on power upgrades.

A Koi will allow you to hear the pellets hit and louder than the air burst that sends it.

OK, Everything I've read on hear about him is always positive. Just checking if anyone had tried anything else. Guess it's time to start saving up.

I’ve tried a Sumo and a Ronin and a Tanto on the Kratos. The noise is already so low on the Kratos that it really didn’t make a huge difference with any of them when threaded to the shroud. Just kind of changed the tone of the sound, and I didn’t care for the added length to the shroud. 
However, with the shroud off and threading the donnyfl directly to the barrel the sumo seemed to sound the best to my ear. 
I recommend putting a small wrap of foam rubber around the barrel inside the shroud where it attaches to the barrel. The shroud is vented through the barrel adapter and much of the sound you hear is coming from that tiny vent hole. It made a very noticeable difference with my Kratos.

If your neighbors are used to you shooting your powder burners NEXT DOOR then the shrouded AKELA is plenty quiet enough. In fact it doesn't seem too loud even on max power come to think of it like a pneumatic air tool.

Keep in mind that a pellet in the barrel will have a large impact on the sound output compared to a dry fire. The pellet acts as a cork (in most cases) that keeps the valve from free dumping air with a good tune. The valve ought to close before the pellet leaves the barrel.

Also, environment has a huge impact on perceived sound levels. A covered porch or metal building wall will reflect that sound impulse.

I guess I should have explained a little better. I have no problems shooting around my house, my neighbors could care less. But, this winter me and the other two guys plan on putting together a little shooting range inside one of their barns. Be shooting 40 to 45 yards so I was just wondering if a suppressor is worth putting on it? All of us bought our guns at the same time and we're just learning off here. I've been reading on here couple of years and like the forum. Thanks for the help

Yes, imho the more quiet the gun the more fun.

I shoot my Akela in my barn and too me it doesn't need a moderator. The stock shroud does a great job.
