Akela stock modification

Hello everyone, as with most bullpups the Akela requires you to typically mount the scope higher up to get a good sight picture. Personally I prefer to keep it closer to the bore of the rifle. This mod is simple to do and allows you to use standard 1/2" tall rings directly on the factory pic rail. This gives a good cheek rest a puts your eye where it's supposed to be, at least for me, lol. I used 2 pieces of 3/8 walnut to fashion the spacers, used the butt pad for a template, cut, sanded, drilled then finished with linseed oil. Of course you will have to increase the length of the screws by whatever thickness you make your spacer. Hope this helps someone.

So I've been playing around with Regs. and springs, doing a lot of tuning. I find myself pulling the stock off constantly to adjust the hammer spring to try different set-ups. Thought there must be a better way, soo.... This mod works great, measured, cut a flat spot, drilled then cleaned up the stock. The brass insert it just tubing epoxied in for bling, lol. I'm using a spring adjuster from Airgun Revisions, it uses a 5mm allen key instead of the stock flathead screwdriver. Just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone else is tired of pulling the action out 👍
