Powder burners vs air gunnersI usually go to Colorado in the summer and this past summer was no exception. When I arrived at the RV park, the owner asked me if I brought my Airgun with me. I'm thinking, do I pull my Jeep behind the RV every time I go out...YES. He said he was glad I did because some prairie dogs had moved into his pasture. I promptly told him I could help him with that problem. He told me to check with the guys in space 4 because they had been shooting some with a .223. I stopped be to see them and mentioned I wanted to shoot some. They asked me what I was shooting. When I said air rifle, they laughed and said, "we shoot them at a 100 yds". I said that ok. It was about this time that they dismissed me. I mean they just turned their back. I nicely walked on & that evening shot several prairie dogs. I wanted to put them on their doorstep but decided against it.
