Airgun Retailers Spamming

First off, the majority of airgun retailers don't spam their customers..., but a few do!

There is one airgun retailer in particular that sends it's customers an email every time the customer browses the website. It's just 'creepy' when you get an email that says the retailer's site noticed you were browsing a particular item and wants you to come back and reconsider the purchase! Totally inappropriate! And of course, the same reatiler sends numerous spam mails each and every day! Really?

I don't remember how many times I've signed-up for emails from this retailer and then been so offended by their marketing scheme (spamming) that I cancel receiving those emails from them! I'm done, no more signing back up with that outfit!

Anyone else feel like I do about airgun retailers spamming?

Crosman spams the heck out of me. That's OK, it's all about to be Chinese trash with the gamo merger.

Why say things like this that are not true. The Gamo Urban and Coyote are made by BSA in the UK. The new Marauder G3 is to be made in Bloomfield with a BSA hammer forged barrel. If selling a bunch of China junk break open spring guns to Walmart and Bass Pro NASCAR dads provides sufficient monies to spend some on a few quality higher end products, I am for it. I am pretty sure some of their break open guns are Spain. Seems like folks gobble up China made Gauntlets, Avengers, Zelos, Notos .

Most browsers offer protection from that sort of thing. You just have to choose to use it.

Both Brave and Firefox do. Brave will even remove the ads from youtube. Who knew?

Plugging your info into a vendor's web-site is like handing your phone number to an auto warranty marketing corporation.

Cheers,

J~

Just a little technical insight from my experience on the other side.
FCC law requires website businesses to have customers approve getting emails. This went into effect beginning of this year.
Any email blast company (that’s what I call it lol) that a business uses now can not automatically start sending emails created by the business without consent. The consent is in a form of a checkbox or signing up on your own.
New customers who are not signed up to Airgun Revisions subscription will not get emails for discounts, products back in stock, and new products. Or something substantial going on. We don’t like getting spam so why should we do that to our customers kind of mentality. But we do think customer should be aware of more important things like new products and discounts, or something new that’s happening at AGR. This is what you’re signing up for and it shouldn’t be anything more than that. How they are getting away with the cart thing I couldn’t tell you. Loopholes I would imagine.

I don't care about gamo or any of their offerings when they're in the process of ruining my crosman nostalgia. Yeah people act like poors and want cheap stuff in a HOBBY. TBF I won't buy budget friendly guns made in Spain either from my powder burner experiences.

Crosman spams me about as bad as jegs does.

Use your email spam blocker. This way you can retrieve filtered mail that may contain coupons.
