In my quest to find info on how hot the compressed air is at the transfer port, I found this article. It is lengthy, but I found the info I wanted in the last few sections. The calculated numbers after conversion for this particular subject rifle was around 1900 degrees F with over 2600 PSI air pressure.

Mmm..

While I am new to airguns...

In my 40-some years as an Aerospace Engineer, and reading that dissertation twice (two different times today), if I would have made that many mistakes, and used that many redundant terms describing "different" tasks and items, I'd probably been fired, or at least demoted onto a lesser project.

Some appears useful and correct, but all in all, with the fancy words, without analyzing every sentence, and how it relates to other informating around it, I'd take that paper, as a whole, with a proverbial grain of salt.
