There's at least one record-keeping organization that recognizes airguns and the Hunter of the Year won with a Bulldog. He won it last year using the Rogue. Here's the story.
What happened with the Rogue? It seemed like a cool gun. The electronic stuff made me nervous as it wasn't waterproof, and looked like the type of thing that would fail quickly. Other than that, it looked like a solid gun. Couldn't you just make a version without the electronic bits?
The Bulldog is the gun you describe, taking everything we learned from the Rogue:
Shorter overall length for better maneuverability and balance while maintaining the same barrel length for generating power
Everyone shot the Rogue on High power so we removed the electronics and designed a mechanical valve that shoots the equivalent FPS, giving the Bulldog the same power, more shots and with better reliability
