Airgun Dilemma.....HELP!

Deepbass9

The 25 cal Vulcan was my first PCP and it is a squirrel slayer, but heavy to carry at times. Plus a little much for the back yard. Squirrel season is 9-15 to 3 15 in Alabama, so the gun sits for 1/2 the year. So I purchased the Taipan 22 cal compact..lighter and much easier to handle in the woods, it also is a squirrel slayer and has been the go to for most of the squirrel season...but in late winter often I get longer shots (80 to 120 yds). You know you cant move around too much when the leaves have fallen, those little buggers will see you at a distance and hide. So that is when the Vulcan comes out, plus I’m sitting still a lot because of the fore mentioned cover situation.

My thoughts and plans are....if everything works out with Leshiy 2 (which will be 25 cal), if I can hold it steady through the shot sequence and be accurate at the 80- to 120 range, then I’ll probably buy the .22 barrel kit and get rid of the Vulcan and the Taipan. As I totally understand and have the same thoughts as laid out in your post. Not really a $$ issue, except why have $$ laying around in un-used AG’s, when the $$ could be put to a better use.
