I ordered an Airgun Capital suppressor/moderator for my JTS Airacuda Max in .25 cal. It looked like a nice aluminum unit and cut my decibels by 15+, but it turned my tack driver into a scatter gun. Inspection showed strike marks on the baffles and end cap which is marked .22/.25 cal. So I looked on their website and the only way to contact them is by email which it says is 24/7. Really? After three days and five emails I haven't heard anything from them. I'm always suspicious of a company that doesn't give an address or phone number for contact. Their warranty online is for 30 days and I'm hoping that they step up and give me a refund or a replacement.
So my questions are, has anyone else had a problem with AC suppressors, and how did they resolve your problem?

As best you can tell is there a defect or poor alignment within the supressor or is the misalignment at your muzzle threads? Without being tightened down, I'm curious what the slop feels like before it's backed up against the "stop" fully tightened. If it's wiggly it's probably thread tolerance and can be shimmed out. I know most people want lego guns but that's a tall order when mixing manufacturers sometimes.

That rifle has a KNOWN issue for having correct alignment issues with screw on LDC's.
If clipping happens ?, it IMO absolutely IS NOT the fault of the LDC manufacturer, but a SHARED fault with the owner installing said LDC not checking prior to use to be true and straight by visually viewing threw it and barrel ... as well the AG manufacturers to make sure any thread on mounting miens that come on said rifle is aligned true to barrel should someone wish to fit one.

JMO as I really dislike threads that are created by outside reasons the posting persons are generally ignorant too stating blame that is incorrectly placed.

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you here. Problem is JTS Airacuda MAX, not moderator. Search, "Airacuda MAX," in upper right corner search box for full story, quick version is shrouds were never checked for straightness during manufacture so many went out shaped like a banana. With barrel not pointing same direction as end of shroud clipping of external moderator is inevitable. JTS is now permanently gluing thread protectors on external moderator threads to address problem. WM

Printed ones self clearance a lot easier. I made an adapter for a benjamin 392 that was easily knocked out of alignment and had to run nice lightweight pla prints it could shoot thru.

It is 2nd to Reximex Silent Force in price to performance. Plus it isnt some bulbous can hanging off the end of the gun.

So I got out my bore light and sighted down the barrel with the can on and it appears to lineup just fine with the barrel. Next I called JTS and ask for their input. It was interesting to find out that they don’t recommend putting a suppressor on that rifle. I resighted the rifle in without the suppressor and its a tack driver. Then I tried three shots with the suppressor on with poor results. I guess I’ll send this one back if they ever contact me. JTS did recommend that if I want to put a suppressor on that I should look at the one from Donny FL. He stated that they have one that is made for the barracuda and should work fine.

I am all for calling companies directly out for bad experiences 100%. I like this was put here where responses can be posted. I hate the industry feedback section. Utter waste when not even the company can respond. Stupid. Anyway I digress. However you should make sure you are informed about all the equipment you are using before you publicly announce to completely avoid a company. It’s highly likely your problem is due to poor QC from the manufacturer of the jts Airguns. Actually a relatively well known issue, pellet clipping on the Airacuda when using a mod due to poor alignment of barrel and shroud. Just saying you should be sure that’s not it before bashing Airgun capital.

Well it took a little over a week and seven emails,but I finally got a response from Airgun Capital. They were actually very nice and apologetic for the delay in responding. They said they would give me a refund no questions asked, and sent me a shipping label. So, other than the difficulty with communication I would have to recommend Airgun Capital for a quality product and a good warranty.
