Airgun AR grips don't always have to be AR Grips

I really like that many PCP airguns sport AR grip now. The grip are easy to obtain, are fairly cheap, and most are (almost) indestructible. My favorite polymer ar style grip for some years has been the Magpul moe grip. In fact before I decided on these I was going to toss a grip on this rifle from my junk drawer. But since I own a CZ 75 PB and love the grip, I ordered a CZ Shadow 2 grip adapter and tossed some G10 grips on the Vixen. I'm a big fan of the G10 grips tackiness, and I figured the rifle might be better off with something like these since it's a very cool little PCP. AR grip adapters are usually 1911 copies as many people like the grip and feel of the 1911 (me included) But I LOVE CZ 75 and variants grip. I got this grip adapter from Driven Arms and it's built very well. There are a lot of options out there. Just leaving this out here as food for thought if anyone likes this kind on thing.

That's pretty neat! I know I have more AR grips than I can count on 2 hands but that one is pretty cool. I also love my CZ 75 SP01. Does the adapter accept standard CZ 75 grips or the Shadow 2 grip?

They are designed for the Shadow II only. I had some standard 75 grips on hand but they hang off the back. I don't own the shadow 1, so I'm not sure about that one.

Thanks for this post, great idea! Honestly I had no idea these grip adapters existed. I am a die hard 1911 shooter and builder, but looking at the difference in how I hold a 1911 vs. a rifle, I think you were correct to go with the CZ. In short, I'm going to end up trying both on my LCS.

Thanks for the great idea!

I do like the 1911 grip as I'm an avid 1911 person as well.. But this does seems pretty well suited for this rifle. I may pick up a 1911 grip adapter as well just to see how well those work. I know the grips I put on are thin and I should have gotten palm swell ones.. I always liked the Les Paul better than the Fenders because the neck is thicker.. Same difference with pistol grip for me.
