Airforce AIrforce Texan .457 Increase Loading Chamber

I am looking for any information from anyone who has had any success increasing the size of the loading chamber for the Texan so it can shoot regular bullets. I am not a fan of lead bullets and want to shoot longer bullets out of the Texan. Right now I am shooting .45 ACP rpunds which it does nicely, but looking to shoot longer bullets. Any help on this would be great!

Regular powder burner bullets are made with a gilded metal shell. as such the riflling in your barrel might be too shallow or the barrel too soft and the rifleling gets stripped out. On the other hand you can cast your own bullets in soft lead or swage them. various molds and dies available. at the average velocity of big bore units standard pb bullets might not expand. next thing is twist rates which are related to velocity and weight of bullet. they may fail to stabilize or over stabilize. even though an air rifle is listed ,say 30 cal , they are generally undersized bore diameter wise vs pb. just like a 22 rimfire at apx .219-.221 vs a center fire 22 at .223-.225 dia. 9mm=.354, 357/38/35 = .358 45 = 457-459 in pb world
45acp velocity range = apx 700+fps fps which is on par with air power. Pistol bullets are designed to expand at lower velocity levels. the jackets are also softer.
