Airforce Texan .308 Best reduced weight Ammo Suggestions?

Well, looking for input on the best ammo at about 90 grains or less with max shots and accuracy. Looking to make this a 88 to 125 FPE gun if possible also taking into consideration max shot count and accuracy.

I have my gun set about med power and getting 79 grain bullets to about 1000 fps. The results were horrible with the hunter supply 79 grain pellets.
Accuracy was all over.

Lead round balls at 44 grain balls seem accurate up to 65 to 70 yards then went totally unpredictable. The were shot at above 1200 fps not sure if that hurt accuracy because they were flying so fast. I will have to try at a lower speed. IF you have any experience with Round Balls and 100 yard plus accuracy let me know.

Lastly, IF you have experience with any specific type of bullet that be great to hear from you and your results.

Jay I have an email in to my contact at Air Force to see if I can get some straight answers for you,
I really think you might be looking at this gun with the wrong expectations but I hope to know the facts soon.

From my experience with the 45 Texan for long range accuracy you need mass this means you need to be shooting heavier not lighter longer not shorter (bullets) and you need to match diameters.. But I freely admit that the .308 Texan is a different critter all together from the .45

I am looking at this gun for some time now and read everything I can find about it.

It seems that the twist rate is 1:14 so it will require heavy slugs (around 115g). It is a common issue with Airforce barrel for those who look for long range accuracy and not only massive power output.

Anyway it should be a really nice extreme long range big bore with decent shot count. Unfortunately it is not yet available in EU and if you could provide us some data (shot string, accuracy test etc...) I would be more than happy :)
