AirForce Texan .257 takes a Catalina Goat

Was invited out to Angry Goat Outfitters for a Catalina Goat hunt using nothing but airguns. The two guys I came out here with both have very popular YouTube channels hunting mainly with airguns. I’m the newbie with these guys. Cedric couldn’t decide on a goat when I spotted one I liked. The stalk was on then. We got within 95 yds and I took the shot. The shot was quartering towards me and I put the crosshairs on the point on the shoulder. Pulled the trigger and heard the impact of the 70 gr slug hitting the mark. The goat turned and layed over. Never took a full step. This is my first exotic with a airgun but not my last. I highly recommend Angry Goat Outfitters if you want a great hunt. They are located in San Angelo Texas.

Thats a bigas goat, what do you do with it?

Shoulder mount and was going to be tamales with the meat. Unfortunately something got in my cooler Sunday night after the hunt at my house and started eating on the meat. I’m guessing cat or a coon. Had bites on several pieces of meat so I discarded all of it. Was not happy about it. I don’t like to waste meat but didn’t want to chance it. Got grandkids that stay with me and eat tamales faster then me.
