Airforce - Power wheel issue

i recently purchased an escape UL, and have been getting to know the stock bottle/valve while i wait on parts to build a regulated bottle for it.

while adjusting the power wheel today, the cocking became really hard to use. i guess the screw holding it in place fell out at some point. looks like something shifted and now its gouging out the plastic breech cover. the vendor i bought it from swapped a .25 barrel with a .22 barrel, could something have gone wrong when being put back together?

i'll hit up airforce in the morning. has this happened to anyone before? something i can fix myself, or would that invalidate the warranty? i was getting excited about this gun :(. feeling lucky i didnt have all the parts yet and haven't put or tried anything non stock on it yet.

breech getting scraped

I am guessing the scraping / gouging is in the bottom of the u-shaped area where the breech slide knob rests? Had a new TalonSS and it did the same thing. I carefully de-burred at the bottom of the u-shape and it was fine. If you return it it'll probably happen on the replacement.

Replace that cheesy plastic screw for the power wheel with a new metal one. Talon Tunes and a decent hardware store will have one.

thanks folks, i did indeed have to smooth out around the u shaped area, but my issue was near the end of the U on the left side.

cooler heads also prevailed in the morning, i just rotated the power wheel all the way down, and was then able to find the screw hole while that piece rotated after i could not adjust it further.

tony has been very helpful, but i'd rather not place another order just for that screw. does anybody happen to have the measurements of that screw? i guess i could take it to a hardware store and match it up also. for now i've blue loctited the plastic screw to see if that will hold.
