Airforce over travel washers

Ok guys so I have been tuning my airforce condor and finnaly got it pretty much tuned. The last thing is to put these talon tunes washers behind my top hat. So I am wondering how exactly I should do this. I heard that there should be about the space of a quarters edge between the washers and the top hat. Can anyone confirm? I just don't want to sand down these things too much and have to order more. Thanks lads.

Raden, just remember, the top hat adj is where you make power on af guns. If the top hat is adjusted property no shim or oring is needed. Both are used to detune and smooth out the bell curve. You may have to adj the tophat from .070/.072. Fill to 3000 psi for shot string. Determine the speed you want and start adjusting. This is my shot string. I us .010 or .020 tony shims to bring power down. Tuned this way i can shoot jsb 25.4, jsb 33 mk ll and 33.5 D-rig vk's. Some quite trigger
