Airforce Airforce Condor and slugs

My buddy still has my Jet 13x40 lathe...I have a PTG 11 degree crown cutter but only have 224 bushings... Ill probably just crown it old fashioned using tooling settings angle....I don't have a mill though.... A major setback with airgun s.. I'm glad to know you have tools for air smithing😀. Hopefully in the near future do a long TJ barrel maybe.224. 14 twist....NOE makes a real.nice 51 gain .224 slug with B.C over .2... For the Airforce Talon...Ordered 300 bar valve and 90 gram hammer and heavier spring. Probably run 3600 psi tethered.... For know excited to test short barrel and 28 grain slugs....
Just let me know..I have almost every mold in .224 that got my attention.. will send you some bullets to test .. before you purchase the molds so you don't waste money ..the lead in for the 1-14 should not be deaper that a 48gr bullet like the lyman 225-415 is the heaviest bullet the 1-14 will be good for... but tj has 1-8.5 -- 1-9.5 -- 1-10.5 twist. In 224 two for heavier bullets.

Sweet😁😁 I probably won't be able to order a TJ till May or so...Ill.contact you first on exactly what length and twist and diameter sleeve.. I'm piecing it together... So far I like the talon condor much more than my Texan...Much easier to work on and better trigger by far..I'm waiting on a 90 gram hammer +heavier spring+4500 psi condor valve...probably run 3600 psi.. Chinese stuff will see how it works.... Condor parts much cheaper than Texan stuff too.. It came with Altros regulator..... So.slow....okay for pellets....not my thing... Buying molds gets real expensive.. I really appreciate being able to try a slug before buying a mold... I'm going to look through some garbage barrels I got from ER Shaw when I was there. Sure I have some short 9 twist barrel...just have to turn it down on lathe...takes forever on my lathe...rather buy a TJ

I really enjoy shooting my AF even when for most people are outdated guns, still 2024 there is nothing more powerful at 3000psi.. I have them in .22 - 25 - 30 .. 2 in 224 2 in 257 .. the 224 n 257 fast twist are wanting turn in the machinists, as soon they are done I will finish those guns.. they are the last piece of the puzzle in those builds, the 4 frames are ready.. carbon Bottles heavy hammers springs etc all there..I just need the barrels to be finish..hope my turn comes before the year ends..😒

I just got my barrel recrowned on the lathe. I removed the last inch. After hand lapping and removing choke around 2185 or.219.. I just got some 18 grain JTS pellets at .220 diameter... Too my surprise they shot decent at 50 yards no choke.. The Apollo 28 grain slugs were too small in diameter soo I powder coated them with industrial silver got them up in size....The slugs aren't shooting that bad either...super slow wrong diameter super thick ugly powder coat. The powder coating did make enough diameter difference to use.....I learn things every day..
