AirForce and CPHPs

I have two AirForce guns, a Talon SS and a Condor SS, both in 22 cal. For some reason they WILL NOT shoot a JSB pellet. I have shot all weights and have sized them as well. The CPHPs will shoot ragged holes in both guns. I'm not complaining, the CPHPs are usually half the price of JSBs. It just don't make sense though.

Has anyone else found CPHPs more accurate than the mighty JSB pellets in their guns. In my FX, the JSBs cant be beat but that gun shoots everything well and some exceptionally well.

I have found Crosman Premier Hollow Points, and Crosman Premier Ultra Magnums to be the most accurate pellet in all of my break barrels in both 177 Cal and 22 Cal.

I am by no means a pellet guru as there are many brands and types I havent tried, but I do expect pellets to touch the same hole at 25 yards and I was able to achieve these results with the pellets I mentioned.

Hi,
I have an AF Talon P .25 cal (got it a month ago and found it is quite accurate with JSB match kings in 25 grain. My first time out it put three shots in a 1.25" group at 50 yards. Further testing still is needed to get the settings dialed in. I made a set of mould blocks to see what a heavier slug would do. The mould throws a 33.3 grain solid round nose bullet. Penetration looks great, but I haven' t been to the range to check accuracy, due to the Wisconsin gun deer season.

Any comments or questions, give me a shout.

The JSBs are still very unpredictable at 25 yards so I tried 21 gr Barracudas. Little , 5 shot ragged holes appeared before my eyes. I think I found THE pellet for MY Condor. Shot it out to 55 yards using a dead on hold and waylay-ed the 1 in swinger several times. The Condor just made my .22 cal Mrod look really bad..and that gun shoots well in it's own right...lol.

Airguns are just simply amazing.
