Mil-spec …
Mil-spec has not much to do with material properties, manufacturing, dimension stuck ups and tolerances, but more like a political phrase who can be on approved vendors/supplier list and who can purchase under what conditions...basically a outspoken paperwork and just a simple overhead cost.
