I don’t have the 177 but a 22 and a 25 on the way. The 22 is flat out superb. Insanely accurate with about any pellet I put in it. Great value for the money. I’m sure the 177 is great. This is just my opinion and an opinion only but I don’t get this gun in 177. With the tunability of this platform I wouldn’t think of going lower than 22. You can tune it way down or up so why mess with the puny light pellets that get blown all over the place? Just my thoughts

Nothing wrong with the 177cal but this air rifle can do much more. In 177 I would expect at least decent or better accuracy, and with proper tuning and pellets expect very good accuracy, but the advantage you get having chose this cal will be shot count. Load on Sunday and shoot till Tuesday…

I have a .177 Avenger. I shoot FX 8.4's, everyone was out of JSB's. Hammer and reg turned all the way down. I can't find my chrony sheet but it was in the lower/mid 900's. I have only shot groups to 35 yards. I am happy with the accuracy. For comparison, I have a 59 FPE .25 Dreamlite but I wanted a cheap to shoot gun that doesn't use much air and still have some speed so it's flat. For the money, the Avenger is pretty good. You would never mistake it for an FX but it works good for the price. I would buy again. It is more accurate than a Hatsan AT44 I had. I have the thredded 1/2-20 adapter and use an mod.

From what I have seen, all 3 calibers are very good for what they are. A entry level pcp. I don't think you can go wrong. I have the 25 cal and i love it, I have opened up the transfer port and barrel port, polished the barrel and replace original barrel band with Black arts design and x2 lock down BONACCI at the muzzle. At the muzzle Barrel Stabilizing Moderator, toped off with Hawke vantage 3x9 50mm. 
stock, it was 45 fpe, now 50-55 fpe depending on the ammo,and it shoots so many different brands well, slugs and pellets.

I have the 25 as well now and it too is just a great gun for 300 bucks. I honestly can’t think of anything better for the money. Captain o ring sells rebuild kits and the gun isn’t hard to work on. What more do you need. Personally I would skip the 177 and go to the 22. This gun is versatile enough to just bypass the 177.

I have their .177. Turned down all the way it shoots FX 8.4's around 900 fps. Very accurate. I have a .25 Dreamline too so I didn't need this to be powerful. I got it for the cheap pellets and low air use. I would buy again. It is a little loud, needs a mod. They make 1/2-20 adapters for them.
