Air Venturi

I have the 110 v model and it's about 2 years old. Changed the oil and filter on it like shown in manual. It now seems to not want to pump higher than 3600 psi. It will move steadly to that point and then not seem to move any higher. Had a Great White just a while ago and charged it. After 30' it didn't seem to go any higher than the 3600. Left it on for 45' and determined there was something not right. Another 25' of pumping did not move the pressure up. I think I do remember when I first got it 4500 psi didn't see like a big deal. Not so now! Any suggestions. Doing something wrong? No Leaks after compressor but might be something farther inside..

Recently I repaired an Air Venturi that was doing the same thing. Some great threads on this forum were posted previously by Bigragu and JKing on rebuilds and repairs of Tuxing and AV compressors. The AV I repaired was doing the same thing as yours. It required me to replace the high pressure piston rings. I also cleaned the upper and lower cylinders which had accumulated carbon residue on the check valves. It's not impossibly difficult to do if you are mechanically inclined. I agree with Yo to check for leaks first but if that's not the issue then your rings are worn. Good luck. Do a search on this forum for the rebuild threads posted by these members. Very informative and helpful. If your AV is out of warranty fixing it yourself with replacement parts will save you a ton on shipping charges unless you live close to AV in Cleveland, OH.
