Air Venturi Tank Noise 74cubic ft

I recently got a krypton compressor and air venturi 74 carbon tank. I have never filled one before so after setting it up I began to fill and noticed a high pitch sound coming from the neck of tank. I left it on for a couple min and it seemed to be filling up a little bit but the sound never stopped. Is this normal?

Did you open the valve on the tank all the way? You may be restricting the flow some!

This may be what's happening. I remember when filling my tank with the yong heng, pressure would shoot up almost instantly. After a min or two I realized that my tank was open but not fully. I opened it all the way and it went to normal and no more noise or instant pressure spikes.

Thanks guys tried again made sure valve was all the way open and it still doing it. It doesnt start making the sound until I open the valve

@lose_money That doesn’t sound normal. Have you checked to be sure that your bleed valve is securely closed? If it leaks from here there is a good chance that you can feel the air escaping with your hand.

I have a fill set that makes a ton of noise when I cascade fill. The check valve on the fill set is the culprit, but if I didn’t know that, it would be hard to identify where exactly the noise is from because the whole thing is vibrating… the hoses and bottle included. Think noisy plumbing.

Many airguns make this noise when filling as the air passes through the check valve. I would guess what you are experiencing is normal.
