Air Venturi Hill EC-3000 used for tank fills

Knowing that the compressor is not for filling tanks just guns, Can I get away with topping off tanks if I do it slowly? with a lot of cool downs..may take a long time but

dont see a difference between filling a gun many times in one day vs filling a tank in short bursts

thats a nice pump i wouldnt use it for that and put wear on it .. just save up a bit and get a kung pow compressor ..

I would not think it would make any difference doing it as you suggest it should be just like filling guns.

Mine will stop, cool and restart once while filling the 580cc tank on my Maverick, not sure what harm a few extra cycles would do!

MadKatt: My thinking on this reliability thing is more about where it begins, in this case it appears to begin with Hill. They seem to take responsibility for their products. Kinda like FX does with their airguns.

They have put out numerous maintenance videos on how to fix this and that and now have a pretty good service manual out on how to repair a lot of stuff on the EC-3000. This combined with the availability of parts and their prompt replies to my e-mails has convinced me it will not become a poorly designed boat anchor.

By the way - its just 9" X 19", easy to move around and darn easy to use.

I too want one of these compressors, but I have not found a decent coupon to use on a HILL to maybe reduce the price a little... looks like free shipping may be the best deal yet!!
