Air venturi Avenger

I wonder if you could foam the inside of the plastic stock? It would quiet the hollow sound and it should add a bit of stiffness too. You could use the spray window foam sealant in a can found at home improvement stores. It expands like crazy so you would have to leave a hole open in the butt for the excess to escape and then trim off the excess after it has cured for a few days.

It would expand and dry filling void but would not reduce that sound much you get when thumping butt stock with your finger....I'm thinking more like using that rubber flex seal to deaden noise...just remove butt pad and spray it in...it goes on thick....just stuff a rag down by the grip inside and remove it when rubber seal is dry...

I'm going to try both inside a soda can as an experiment...Home Depot has both.

It’s important to keep things perspective. This is a sub $400 regulated gun. I have several 2k+ guns and I have this one just for playing around and I still think it’s the best bang for the buck. Not high quality in many ways but it’s reflected in the price and mine has been flawless in operation. I think it’s a home run.

In 2007 or so, I bought "low cost" air guns and three were converted to HPA and all still operating today without repairs.. example is $200 for base rifle another $300 for conversion. Never have I spent more than $500. But add scopes, cases, pellets etc and you have expenses not to mention fill tanks...lol

I bet if the Avenger came with a stock similar to the one on the Umarex Origin, there wouldn't be too many complaints. The Origin has the best synthetic stock out of all of the Nova Vista guns (Liberty, Freedom/Aspen, Avenger). It has a similar feel to my Gamo Urban. I wonder if Umarex gets the Origin stocks from Nova Vista or if they are sourced from a different manufacturer.
