I have two Avenger one 22 and one 25 an they do shoot great, but I have to be honest I am not please with the 22 or the 25. They will be ok for back yard but not for the mountains of VA .I would sell them for what I have in them they have about 300 thru the 22 and 200 thru the 25 .I cannot post them AGN but you know they are for sell.These are the not very well made pcp

From the videos I have seen on this particular air rifle, it will hold around a 3/4 inch group at 50 yards As long as you find the right pellet for it although it’s not supposed to be that pellet picky.And it has plenty of power as far as velocity and foot pounds. I’m wondering what you don’t like about the air rifle?

Yes both will shoot groups like that or less, the stocks is what I don't like they are plastic like a toy I wanted something I could bang around on a four wheeler in the mountains these might but I don't want to take a chance on it . Back yard these guns would be hard to beat if you don' t mind the stocks.

I was just wondering because from all the reviews and videos, that was the only complaint was the hollow plastic stock. Even the trigger supposed to be nice on it. I was thinking about buying one ,But just not ready to yet. I’ve spent enough money this summer on air guns And accessories.

Why don't you play around with it for a while instead of guessing? The stock should be easy and cheap enough to replace if you don't like it.
If anything, I like the stock because you just don't have to care about it. I had a gorgeous rifle with a walnut stock to die for, and I was so afraid I would lose that luster. My brother had a modded top-flight Mercedes and not only he but everyone around him was terrified what would happen if so much as a scratch came across it that none of us wanted to get anywhere near it. A scratch would break his heart, and who wants to break his heart? So he would ask someone to like move his car or something and all of us would refuse, with alacrity! When we were in the garage waiting for him, we were polarized to the magnetism of his car, stretched out against the wall while the car sat brooding and sulking, ready to snap, in the center.
To me it's a relief to have something cheap I can bang around. But it's a miracle that it could also be a quality product I can rely on and fiddle with if I have to. The stock is the least possible reason to not like the Avenger, IMO. Hell, fill it with foam or duct tape it, whatever, who cares. You'll get another if you need to, probably cheap, maybe better.

I pre-ordered an Avenger knowing full well that I might not particularly care for the synthetic stock. However I am aware that there several methods of putting some thunk into it. So. OP, if thats your only concern, you might want to look at the thread on AGN thats addressing that very subject!

I am a hunter not a back yard or paper shooter .I site my guns in and go hunting I have done this for fifty years I know what I like thanks for the comments the stock is plastic synthetic of a very low grade I will not put duck tape or fill with anything . thanks for the replies

AVS guy just posted with the beginning of his wood stock build...If you are handy you can make your own pretty easy

If the wood is not exotic or highly figured a blank is not too expensive. Making a stock like the one pictured above is not what I would consider easy though!

The Avenger is a neat gun for $300 but unfortunately I never got the claimed performance of other reviewers.

I did not hate the gun, there will be a lot of people that will love the Avenger, but this is not a bang around tuff as nails gun. The Avenger will do 1/2 inch groups at fifty yards the 22 and 25 all day long if the person can do it, Its just no what I needed.

I have the Avenger .25! The only thing that I did not like was the stock being loose when I first got it! Tightened it and it shoots 1/2 inch groups at 15 yards
As for power? A 10 shot group averaged 786 FPS. Deviation of 4 FPS, FPE 35.16. Regulated pressure about 2100. I get 4 Mags or 32 shots at that pressure before I am in the yellow! I can get another 2 mags if I run it out of air!

If the Avenger was made like the Dar, and the Dar had all the adjustment the Avenger it would be a great pcp.

Apparently the actual manufacturer catalogs a wooden stocked version, however I've never seen them actually stocked by suppliers. I'd buy a wood-stocked Avenger, but not one with a stock made from recycled garbage.

The stock and the barrel band and the plastic parts was a big turn off for me. The Dar has all metal parts the barrel band is Marauder like ,the set screws are a little small, but seems fine and the wood stock is good..
