Thank you, Haji. Not sure if you noticed but I went with the Athlon Ares ETR. My first really nice scope. What a difference from my Discovery or Hawke. My old eyes are much helped by some decent glass.

No mill or cnc. Just a router and chisels.

My Avenger trigger guard is all plastic and molded into the stock as one piece.

Igolfat8 - that looks awesome! What kind of wood are your using? Yes, the trigger guard is plastic. I prefer wood for the aesthetics. Posh adds strength the weak part as my grain runs horizontal not vertical. I can't wait to see what you come up with. Are you recording some of your progress. Maybe I can learn something for your build. By the way, I never golf before 2pm. Im way too lazy to get up that early.
