Air Venturi Avenger or AEA Challenger Standard

I'm looking to pick up a .22 rifle for some plinking and small game hunting. I have a FX Dreamline that is currently being sent back to FX for repair, and I want to pick up another rifle to use now and to have as a backup. Both the Avenger and Challenger write-ups look very good. If you had to chose between them, which would you pick and why? Being able to adjust the power level is definitely and big plus. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Rock,

In your shoes, I'd wait for the JTS Airacuda. If you can't wait, consider these preferences. Side-lever over bolt-action, regulated over non-regulated, best adjustability options for regulator, HS and trigger. Weight and length, my Gen One Umarex Gauntlet is 47" long, too long and heavy for much more than bench shooting. I prefer Picatinny over Dovetail and synthetic over wood stock, but neither is a deal breaker. Finally, higher air volume storage is a plus, unless hand pumping. Best of Luck, WM
